Flag

The French flag has three colors blue, white, and red. Each color has a meaning to it. The blue stands for saint Martin a rich Roman officer who tore off his blue cape with his sword and gave one of its half to the poor who was in the cold snow. The white stands for the virgin Mary, but it also stands for Joan of Ark. Last the color red stands for the patron saint of Paris St. Denis. The nickname for this flag is tricolore which means of three colors. The flag was created in 1790, but has changed in 1794  to it's recent form
